How Many Interests?

Do you ever think that there is just not enough of interests here. No matter how many you have, it seems that the same ones get posted in, and if you post in a different one it never gets read? I feel that way. I have at least 100 interests here on mylot, and out of those I rarely see one pop up that is unique. The top ones that I seem to see here are
:: Mylot.com ::
:: Friends ::
:: Relationships ::
:: Cats ::
:: Dogs ::
:: Lover ::
:: Make Extra Money ::
:: Make Money ::
:: Listening To Music ::
:: Be Successful ::
:: TV ::
:: Cellphone ::

The only one I have on your list is Dogs and I have 15 other ones. Perhaps you just haven't explored enough? As in every other program, the Religious rooms are the fastest, but I see your more interested in calmer discussions. Being a newby I generally answer discussions with no responses because I feel everyone should get some response if their topic is coherant.

When I first started posting on here I would do the same thing. I still try to look at discussions with no responses as well. I do have a lot of interests and add new ones everyday, but that doesn't seem to making any other discussions more noticeable.
People just discuss things that are of more relation to them such as the things above.

Perhaps the problem is that there are too many interests and they spread us out too much. Like there is a board for Religion and Christianity which does tone down the bikering between the Athiests and Fundies, but it also siphones off the fun of participating in a lively discussion.

Members are allowed to make their own interests, and I think they do that if they do not feel like going through to see if the interest is there in latter pages. We may be spread out to much, that and a discussion may be categorized differently, and it may not fit in as well as they thought.

those are usually the same ones that i see whenever i look at my discussions...i mean i guess thats the ones that everyone can seem to relate to the most because those seem to be the only ones that get alot of answers...i mean i guess i wished that they had a few others that i could post under that would get me more responses but maybe mylot will change that in the future..

It's not so much mylot needing to change it as it is more people need to be broad on their interests. I understand that those discussions seem to have the most responses because everyone has something to relate to it, but at the same time... all the other interests I have are of value too.
I understand though, that some are on latter pages in the interest group and not everyone looks through every page, but it seems as if it should atleast get something.
