I can't help you on why it may not be working, but have you tried the 'old' way of doing it? Sometimes that will work on other programs.
Use 'control c' to copy and 'control v' to paste.

Yes, I tried that. Just tried it again to make sure. It is new pc. Just got it in November. But I have to share it with the step-son and all his know-everything teenage friends. They get it messed up at least once a week. I usually can get it fixed pretty easy, but this one is frustrating because I need it so bad.

Hello there, how are you coping with this problem now? Hope your cut & paste function is back on. I have had this problem too before, and I just press ctrl, alt & delete, and try to reset the whole thing. On it again, and still can't. So what I did was I uninstall back the mouse and keyboard function; one step at a time. And after that, things went back to normal.

Yeah, I got it back. I have that new Windows Vista. I don't like it. I had to go into the programs and delete an HP add on. it was trying to give me a different cut and paste that was not compatable with Vista. Suprise! Suprise! Something not compatable with Vista. lol If you haven't experienced it yet, let me tell you there is vey little that IS compatable with Vista. Their way to get us to spend more money, as you have to get almost all new software.

Oh my!! That's bad..I dislike Windows Vista too and in my workplace currently, they do not use Vista because we have our own programming system here. And I just use normal Windows for mylotting. So did you install the cut and paste function from another program or software or what...? Or just pure deletion and then the thing goes back to normal..?

No firefox. We use explorer. The problem I have is there are three different people who use this pc. One is a 17 yr old who thinks she knows more about computers than she does. I have been able to fix everything else that she has done, incluing locking us all out, but this one has me puzzled.
Anyway, thanks and have a blessed day.
