Waiting for someone who doesn't know you're waiting?

God bless to you. I have a friend who waits on someone who's clueless she's waiting for 6 years already and still counting. How worse can that get? Again and again, I told her to move on however she just can't. No matter what you say, she merely nods and drops the discussion.
You? Ever been in this situation?
And here's more, waiting for a friend you secretly love is the hardest thing you ever got to face. Chances are, you'll meet men and you compare him to them which leads to you dismissing the new ones you like because you just think they can't compare to him. Pity.

You know, men can't be the ones to come to the girl all the time. If she has so much interest she should ask him out or something, perhaps for coffee, this way she can talk to him. Maybe if she did this she'd have a chance or an idea of whether or not he is taken.
I think if she's waited that long it's time she made a move, otherwise she really needs to move on. She is missing out on so many good guys out there. It's not fair that she is torturing herself this way.

The guy in question is a common friend of ours, a very close friend even. So we would be the first one to know if he's dating someone. The problem there is, my friend's very reserved. She can't say it. And, our guy friend gives out signals suggesting he feels the same way. However, as he pointed out over and over again, STUDIES FIRST. We still have 3 years before we graduate from our college.
Ugh. guys.

See, some times some one wait for some one , when he/she has no choice to do ... otherwise no one wait for any one without any clue ...
