Reality tv shows are everywhere. You have Big Brother, America's Next Top Model, Project Runway, The Accomplice, The Simple Life, Blind Date, Fifth Wheel, Girls Next Door and the list goes on. Do you think they are real or are they being told what to do to get more ratings? Are the people behind these reality tv shows only selecting what will be aired on the basis of what will garner more ratings?

To an extent it's "real" but in all honesty no it's not. There IS a script and they tell you what to do and how to act. Not all of it is in the script or how you were told to act though. But I'm pretty sure there are guidelines to get the ratings up and to make the show more interesting. I'm pretty sure they pick people for who they are, like sometimes it's obvious who will cause drama, who's the shy person, and the party person.

Not really, anything with a camera is not REAL in the sense. Some people tend to play to the camera and to me that seems fake. I know I couldn't act normal knowing a camera was pointing at me every day. Realty tv is just popular at the moment, eventually it will fall the way of all popular shows...and most of them are boring and downright stupid.
