Actually there is a higher chance that a lion will win the battle. You have to look at the way the animals attack, more or less they will aim for the neck. The male lion has a mane(thick fur on the neck) while tiger is vulnerable.For the tiger the only other place it can attack for win is the spine of the lion. So now it comes down which animal gets the vital point. For the lion it just sees more places to attack thats all. Size is not a real factor for both these creatures its about the speed and attack.

is this a joke like what comes first, the chicken or the egg? or is this a serious question? i am not an expert. they are both wild cats. i assume it would be the lion because they are considered king of the jungle and control all the other animals. my male cat acts like king of my townhouse jungle. he looks like a mini lion.

African lions are good fighters. Remember tiger is a good hunter,lion is a superior fighter. Lions fight much often than tigers do,so according to me lion will have dge in a fight. Lion rockzz

Thats true that lions fight much often than tigers do. Which means they are more experienced fighter. They are still no match for a tiger who is larger,more powerful, faster and more agile. Tiger's bite force is larger than lion's. Tiger's back legs are extremely strong thus giving him chances to fall back and jump to attack. Remember it wont be plain victory for a tiger.
