My father is a chain smoker. He was already admitted to the hospital for health reasons because of smoking. He was successful for almost six years until such time that he smell the fragrance of menthol again. Now he is addicted again.
With this, I need to ask:
Who are smokers here in mylot?
What pleasure do you get out of it?
Despite the fact that it can kill, are you still willing to take the risk?
Any plans of stopping the addiction?

I've been smoking for basically 20 years. I happen to enjoy it. It really helps to relax me when my tension and stress levels are through the roof. I have no intention of quitting. I see no reason to.
You say it can kill well anything can kill. They had a woman not that long ago die from drinking too much water. All the "studies" on smoking none of them say "it will" do this. They all say it may, might, or could. Well I could walk out of my house and get struck by lightening, doesn't mean I'm going to not leave my house. In fact there are studies out that show smoking isn't as bad as so many previous studies have shown.
The one thing that is certain from the moment we are born is that we are going to die. We can't escape that fact. It doesn't matter how healthy you are or how careful you are about every little thing you put in or around your body.

Then so would be using a cell phone, having automobiles and so many other things that are can be just as dangerous if not more so. I don't see everyone giving up everything that could possibly cause a health problem.

That's about it. I'd much rather enjoy life then miss life because I was concentrating on the wrong things.
Thank you for best response. That was nice to see in my box

I would like to stop smoking. I have quit a few times, but always started back. Even when I quit for 2 years once, every single day I was miserable because I was fighting the cravings. It is a miserable habit, and I hope young people will think before they start to smoke.

smoking is an addiction thats hard to get rid, it's also a lifestyle. It's like; for those who likes T-shirts more than shirts with collar; it would be that they have to wear their collared shirt after years of wearing just normal t-shirt or shirt. the duration doesnt really matter, months of wearing no collar shirt or weeks it applies to smoking; sometimes calms the nerves; more of a timeout
