Just wanted to ask...Does anyone know how the IRS is deciding who to send the rebates to first? I know its starting with direct deposits, but are they starting with single people, then couples, and then families or are they doing it by social security numbers like they have done in the past? Just trying to figure out when to expect it.
Thanks in Advance.

Go here:
http://www.irs.gov/newsro...
to get the official word, but yes they are sending them according to SS numbers.
They were suppose to start going out
Monday, but I should have gotten one of the first checks sent out according to my social, so I am wondering if I will even get one.
To figure out how much you will be getting, go here:

Be sure you have your 2007 return. It takes about 5-10 minutes but it is only an estimate.
Hope that helps.

Hello, it goes by the last two of your social security number. You should be expecting it soon, the other user posted a website to estimate your refund, so you could do that. I just got mine today electronically deposited. It was a shock to me because I was not expecting it!

wow that's terrible, did you file yours electronically? Did you do yours early? I did mine around March 20th.
