Getting a new labtop

Right now i only have a desktop and now i like to get a labtop so i do not keep my husband up he goes to bed.My computer room is next to my room so the light in the room keeps him at times.So i like to know which labtop is the best one to get.My computer is a hp and that is the only name i really know abut.I am not sure on the others.

I am from India and i have been using Acer laptops for quite sometime and i havent find much problems with them. They are the cheapest in the market, a reputed brand, and no 1 in Europe. The acer laptop costed me 700$ which i brought last in August 07. It is still working fine and i love it. Similar models from HP or lenovo with same configuration were about 900 to 1000 $.

i know the same with me too.desktops would trouble my sibling in this case so i decided to dispose it and buyt a laptop which is easier to use and is hassle free too.i love the way i can carry it to where ever i want to go.i own a dell laptop which has everything that i want and also some extra features.it's got blue tooth,wife,memory card reader,huge memory and hard disk.also it has media center as the operating system since i am fond of music.
