I took a flight from Japan to the US and had a day and a half layover in Guam. Wow. Japan was snowy and cold so we were in jeans and sweatshirts. We got off the plane in Guam; which we knew it would be warm but wow. It was so humid and so hot we were dying. Everyone looked at us like we were nuts. We luckily got our luggage for transferring flights and found some cooler clothes to change into. It was Winter in Japan and Winter in Washington state our destination. So needless to say we had quite a weather change. Guam is beautiful; if you have the chance take a trip there. We were not in the touristy places; my exhusbands grandmother lives there so we stayed with her; loved it except the lizards on the walls; they scared me...lol Have you been there?

I lived in Guam since 1990 and love it. It's my native home and perhaps will never leave, but then again the future is always uncertain. It's a great place for vacation, but living here, it's best to have a job with the local government or federal. Jobs in the private sector aren't always secured.

So you saw the geckos. I was in Guam about 19 years ago. Lived there for a couple of years. It's a beautiful island, but it was so hot and humid. It was winter in the states when I left so I wore heavy clothing. The minute I stepped out of the plane hot air hit me and living in Guam would be different.
