website creating is verse

I am a new boy on the block of website creation, i had know initial knowledge about website but wasa extreme interested of becoming webmaster someday, i started with free site creation site that offer free hosting.one of them is www.freeservers.com
but these sites doent come with dotcom but i really wanna have a site that says dotcom. i need advise

I started doing my webpage as a novice as well, i knew absolutely nothing but I wanted to do my own webpage myself as it was a very personal tribute to a friend, a web designer offered to do me one for free but i wanted to do it myself...from the heart, but I just couldn't understand the programs so the same web designer showed me how to do a webpage in 'word' as he said it was the easiest way...well it only took half an hour of him showing me the basics and off i went...many say you can not make a webpage in word but i did and I am very happy with it...
