how many of you use mobile telephone as alarm clock?

I do this all the time. One reason is that I am more apt to wake up to the cell phone ringing then the alarm clock. Another is that I have to actually flip the phone open to shut it up and that wakes me up a little. With an alarm clock I'm more likely to hit snooze or unplug it. (I'm a bit of a crabby morning person lol) My husband laughs at me because I always choose a different ring tone (musical) every day that I use it. But this way I don't get used to one and learn to sleep through it.

Yes I do use my mobile phone as alarm clock. Before sleeping I usually set the phone to a desired time I want to get up. I place it away from my bed. When the alarm goes on, I need to stand up and walk towards my phone because it keeps on ringing. It is useful for many not only for sending messages, calling, but also other little things.

I use mine to remind me of things like when to send my kids to the bus or when to take my vitamins each day. I dont need an alarm clock otherwise.....I have two kids.

i used to do that. i found out by doing that i would have to charge my battery more often. if i didn't charge it. my phone would die.

i do...i use my cell phone every morning to get up and it i will set like three alarm clocks and i will hear one of them most of the time its going to be the first one that i hear and i just wake up...i alway shave music as my ring tone and i set my ring tone as the alarm clock...so that always works for me and i can't honestly get up with an alarm clock so i have to use a cell phone...

I do, I easilly wake up and just set it in vibrate mode. Alarm clocks are too noisy for me and I have a baby sleeping beside me that I would not want to wake up.

yes you are very right. mobile phones are used by everyone mostly for more than one use.... i use it as a phone of course, i listen music (radio), use it as an alarm clock, watch, reminders (so no need of maintaining a planner), and many more uses..... so y we need to buy a alarm clock or any other thing if only one mobile can fulfill all our needs.....

I too use mobile phones as alarm. They are a great source to alarm and are available anytime and anywhere you go so you get free from taking a alarm clock with you everytime. They also act as clock and i had seen many people not wear watch because of them.

That's why I never off my mobile phone, I use it as an alarm everyday. :)

OH, I am SO glad that I have places for 3 alarms, plus I set my regular alarm clock. I have boys that have to get up in the morning for school, plus my hubby that I have to wake up. None of them will wake up for an alarm, so I am the alarm. I thought that I was the only one that did this.

I don't use it as alarm clock basicly.Because I am not used to keep my mobile telephone open all night.By the way I have not the alarm clock and it isn't necessary for me.If I have something important I am gonna to sleep before 10:30pm so I will not lose some important appointment or anything else.

i'm dependent on my mobile phone's alarm clock, if i used anything else, i wouldn't wake up! the tone i used was really annoying so i'd bolt straight up after hearing it. my problem now is that my n73's alarm clock can't wake me up.. i miss my old mobile phone..

Well, the mobile phone definitely have so many features nowadays. Its almost an all in one thing. From music, pictures, internet connection and many other stuff. As for me, I have been using my mobile phone for alarm clock since the day I have bought a my mobile phone. It is really convenient to use.

Yes, I do. I've been using my mobile phone as my alarm clock since my first cellphone. It's more convenient to use than a real alarm clock because it is handy and you can put it beside you in bed without disturbing your sleep. You are right, I was able to save money because I don't buy any alarm clocks anymore. That's more cool is that you can choose the ring tone would you like to be awaken with.

I totally agree with you. I use my cell phone as my alarm clock everyday except weekends. Different from most persons' cell phone, there is only one alarm tone for my alarm music. But it doesn't matter. I like this function of my cell phone. In the first place, my cell phone can automatically adjust the time, so the alarm time is accurate even if I seldom correct it. In the second place,if I don't get up on the schedule time, my cell phone will re-alarm every 5 minutes unless I enter any key to stop it. My cell phone doesn't have many functions but receive and send short messages or phone. But I like simple life just like my cell phone.:)
