This is my question to those single mylotters out there. Single, meaning no boyfriend, or partner, no children, just being alone and single. I am not single. I'm married for 6 years and have a son. This question popped out of my mind, because most of my friends who are now in their late 30's are still singles either by choice or by circumstances. Most of them say that they still believe somehow they could have a family of their own, have kids but some says they are happy being single and enjoying their singleblessedness. Can anyone be happy being single if they don't have someone whom they could share their happiness with? Well, there are so many things that can make people happy but for me having a family of my own makes me the happiest person. What do you think can make you happy?

I'm single but I'm still pretty young (20yr)
I do want someone to share my life with but then theres times when i'm VERY happy to be single. if i had a g/f i'd probably be happier in certain ways.
I'm pretty happy for the most part.
you can be happy and be single...you just get lonely sometimes is all.

you are still very young. there are so much things in store for you. just be happy being young and single. and when the right time comes, it's your decision whether to stay single or build a family of your own.

i think that some people can be happy single because they don't like having anyone to answer to and no one to have to be faithful to or whatever but i wouldn't honestly be as happy if i was single until i was that old or something because i really do want a family whenever i am in my twenties...but that is just what i want i guess that everyone has their own opinion on what they want!

yeah right. I guess some prefer to be single coz they are afraid to commitment and being binded to one. well, maybe that's their own choice.

I am 28 years old and fairly happy being single. I love being single because I am able to do things on my own without having to run it by my bf/husband. I like the fact that I only have my pets and my father to look after instead of some little ones. And I'm glad that when I continue on to grad school I'll only have to worry about supporting myself.
There are times when I wish I had someone else in my life to confide in and lean on for extra support. Someday I would like to have a husband and family of my own, but it's not guaranteed. I realize I'm getting older and my chances of that happening are slimming, but there are other possibilities I hope for more than the chance of being married with kids.

I believe its possible. I've been single for God knows how long and I've enjoyed it. Not that no one comes along, its just that I choose to be single.
