student participation is also vital

student participation in the classroom is not only accepted but also expected of the student in many courses. some professor base part of the final grade on the student's oral participation, although there are formal lectures during which the students has a passive role, many courses are organized around classroom discussions, students' questions and informal lectures.

yes, i agree. students should never be afraid to ask questions, cause more than likely there are more students with the same questions who are to scared to ask.

yep, i too feel that if we have student participation, it would make the classroom that much better. communication will improve not only among the students and teachers but also among the students themselves. they will also have the chance to learn new things that way. it would seem odd if the teacher is the only one doing all the talking and the students are just listening.
