What topic do you generally not like to bring up with your friends?

I don't mean just politics or religion, because those are fairly common topics that people disagree on. Just look around mylot. It's hard to find a discusion on those things that borders on rational on either side you take. But is there some friend one of you has that the other doesn't like? Or is there something you did that your friend STILL sometimes holds over your head? It can be mylot friends or friends in 'real' life. I think you know what I mean, because mylot friends are just as valuable.

Well, sometimes I dont like discussing things with friends that regard disciplining children. Everyone is different with the way they parent and we often get offended if someone tells us that our way isnt right....Also, if i know someone doesnt agree with vaccinating children, i will not bring that up because I am not interested in debating whether I am doing the right or wrong thing with my kids.

I am not interested in sports so that topic certainly bores me a lot. I am usually pretty open with topics, so it really doesn't bother me too much.

Same here I dont like sports that much thats why I feel bored when my friends are talking about those players whom are only familiar to me by face but dont recognize them by name.
Though generally, I can ride on whatever topics we could talk about.

In our family we don't discuss my oldest daughters choice to stay home....I believe it's her choice but my other kids think it's a total waste of a very intelligent mind. As for friends I have one with whom I can discuss almost anything and another with whom I have to walk on eggshells about anything.....that's the nice part about friends...they keep life so interesting.

I like to think I would discuss just about anything. Religion and politics would end in heated debates though. Certain aspects of my life might make me squirm, but i would still do my best to satisfy others curiosities.
I try to be open and honest and not hide or lie about my life or my opinions on things. I may not put them out there for the world to see, but would answer as well as I could if asked about it.

In general, I don't bring up anything that isn't being talked about unless I feel it's important. Even then, I really think twice about it.
With friends I usually let them throw out the first lead if it's a topic that I know is bothering them. If they don't seem ready to talk about it, I don't push them.

Aside from politics and religion, which we all have the sesne not to start talking about, my friends and I avoid talking about a couple of people that some of us are friends with but others can't stand, and funnily enough, music. We'd get in arguments about musical tastes a lot when it was brought up even though we're all old enough to know that's really silly.

I find myself shying away from very personal topics.. I'm more into light hearted and humorous, yet, I love serious topics.. religion and politics being right at the top of the list! But the personal.. I shy away from.. both online and in person. Anytime I run into someone in person where we can talk about religion, politics, or astrology, I'm a happy camper.. No arguing though.. pleasant and friendly (short) debate, I have no problem with..

smoking because even herein mylot people forget to be civil and to respect each other at all.someone or maybe more than one managed to slide my repuatation from nine to six in two days and it has moved up just one star to a 7 just by hitting the minus key enough times. smokers seem to want to actually hate non smokers and non smokers to hate smokers and its all so damnedchildish to me. it could be an intresting topic but only among mature adults who can respect themselves and others too.
