Why Muslims are said to be terrorists?

Muslims all over the world are said to to terrorists. I totally disagree with this statement. If we look around us, we find that everywhere Muslims have been targeted for cruelty. In Kashmir, in Palestine, in Bosnia, everywhere Muslims are being killed. America, who has invaded Afghanistan, Iraq in order to stop terrorism and bring peace, is itself the biggest terrorist. Do you agree? If not why?
