Candee,
As far as I know people who are blind from birth still dream. Dream has not to be seeing forms only. It might as well be hearing sensibilities. Like the kind we hear on radio. Blind people interact through voice and they dream verbal without any forms.
I just hope that made sense.

there is no relationship between being blind and having dreams. dreams are made by the mind ability to imagine. it is a mental thing.

yes blind people do dream..
and I don't agree with the sayings that blind people have dreams which just have sound filled dreams and they cant see anything.
dream is just a illusion of one's mind it mostly consists of what one thinks not on the physical ability of a person. It doesn't mean that if a person can't walk he won't have dreams of walking down some lane or if a person can't speak he will only have dreams which are silent. It will be just crap to say that blind person can't dream of light and so and so.
Anyone who has some ambitions has some dreams which he/she dreams to fulfill.

It depends if they ever had the ability of sight or were born
blind.

I don't have any scientific explanation behind this , but i do think dreams and blindness of that person don't have any connection. Dreams are just illusional and any person has the ability to dream. That's my logic.

I am also thinking of starting a new discussion about blind people but with a different angle. HEHE As for this, I think yes they do. I made some research about this and here is what I've got: those blind since birth or very early childhood have no visual imagery in their dreams. Instead, they experience a very high percentage of taste, smell, and touch sensations in their dreams.
There are no visual images in the dreams of those born without any ability to experience visual imagery in waking life.
Individuals who become blind before the age of five seldom experience visual imagery in their dreams.
Those who become sightless between the ages of five and seven may or may not retain some visual imagery.
Most people who lost their vision after age seven continue to experience at least some visual imagery, although its frequency and clarity often fade with time.

yes i think that they do dream i mean i have never ask anyone if they still dreamed but i don't think that that has anything much to do with their dreams...i thikn that they just dream about waht they remember from when they weren't blind...unless they were blind since birth...and then they may have dreams about waht they hear...just my opinion...
