2012

2012 is suppose to be the end of the Mayan calendar.As for predicting future events I think that some people have that ability but its very rare for every person to possess.Most predictions are bah humbug...remember y2k and planet-x.

There are more questions that answers. 2012 is the last year in the Myan calendar. Their calendar was based on astronomy. Did something happen in the heavens to cause the stars to be unreadable past 2012? Did their "astronomer" pass away suddenly without being able to train his successor? From the way the earth is changing I'd say something that we can't fathom is coming soon. Probably not the end of the world, but maybe the end of the world as we know it. I used to obsess over the book of Revelations and try to understand all the predictions in it. My pastor would tell me, just live every day the very best you can. The future will be what it will be.

So far in my life I was told at lest 3 times that the end of the world was coming. Still here. This prediction was started by the Mayans. The ones the Spanish captured with about 500 men. If they were so good at predicting why did they not see their end coming?

Even before I knew about the significance of 2012 I always felt that something major was going to happen in that year. I don't believe it is the end of the world or anything like that but I think there will be some extremely large changes happening around that year. Of course the way things are going right now it may happen much sooner than that.

12-21-2012 it is not the end of the world.. it is just end of human man kind like dinosaurs. based on my own study and found out that based on Mayan calendar it will reach the end of the circulation of the earth and will shifting of the polar and everything will change, so the climate and the reaction of the earth will change and will shift to new direction. it will have new world to live if anyone can survive upon the shifting happen. upon the prophecy some are happening today if you will observe. so if i where you, every day is thanks giving and make it memorable let it treasure every moment of your life cause no one know what will happen next year.

Disasters like the one in Japan may strike but i doubt the world would end like that so soon, its going to die one day for sure but not so easily and so soon and certainly not in 2012. May be over a period of time due to Global warming and as it is the population of the world has exploded so may be we are inviting nature to balance us out. I am sure disasters going to happen around the world but its not going to crumble down like this in one go.

People have been making predictions for centuries. Whether it's the world ending or some other major catastrophy we know the world cannot continue as it is going today. We don't know if it's Christ coming because no one knows that but whatever it is let's prepare ourselves and live each day the best we can.

Dear friend, I was hearing those prediciton of world to end from 2000 onwards. On one side the predictons goes on and on the other side life goes on. But one thing is sure the earth is sure to explode one day as those things going on it is sure to make it angry.

i think no one knows what the future hold. predictions are someone's opinion on what is to come. i don't think there is any basis for it. i don't go along with them at all.

I'm not sure what to think. I know the world (as we know it, at least) is going to end someday and I hope I'm not around when it does but I'm ready. I don't know if I could survive a polar shift but if my kids needed me I'd do anything I could to make it through. I think we'll all pretty much have to wait a few years to find out.

The word "doom" as an end of the world for the human beings is something I believe in, not because I´m a believer in predictions but because we are doing all we can do to make our planet impossible for life. We are the worst predators, we pollute the places where we live, we use more of the earth´s bounty than we need. I could go on. I feel THAT spells doom, with no aid from Nostradamus, mayas or hopis.

The world is not going to end in 2012! this thing that people have been taking about is based on the movie 2012
