Do you ever watch a movie that you don't like but know your kids would LOVE?

I don't mean the little kids movies, but your kids as a grown up. There are some movies that my son or my husbands son just LOVE and when we watch them, it's hard to get through the first half hour of them. We watched a movie like that the other day. I don't remember what it was called, but it was about a military experiment where they were supposed to deep-freeze these 2 people for a year and bring them back. Something went wrong and they stayed frozen for 500 years instead. When they woke up, the entire world was stupid and even though they were average by our standards, they were the smartest people in the world when they woke up. We did watch the whole movie - there was nothing else on - but after a while we looked at each other with the same thought, "the boys probably loved this movie."

Yes. My child asks me to watch a movie with her, when she asks which one I want to see I'll tell her that she can choose, this makes her happy and whether I like the movie she picks or not I will sit through it for her.. if nothing else I have just spend at least 1 hour (depending on the movies run time) with my child. It is so worth seeing that smile on her face that I will continue to do this for as long as she would like.

Yeah, I always did that too. But what about if she's not around and you're watching something, realizing that she'd like it also.

I have done that. I was watching Dogma one day and since it has Alan Rickman, her fave actor, I mentioned it to her , she saw it an liked it. So yea, I guess it works both ways :)

I wish I could remember what this movie was that we were watching, I keep wanting to ask my son if he's seen it!
