and it wasn't one of my dogs!! I checked, they're both asleep on the couch. There's no sign of any other animal in the house and the wind isn't blowing so...I wonder if I have a phantom doggie?! It was just weird, thought I'd post it for your entertainment!

Not so far fetched, I don't think! I had a phantom cat in one house that I rented a few years ago. We would see this cat run across the door between my dining room and kitchen and we didn't have a cat!!! Spooky, but definitely a good story!!!

That's so strange! Did you ever find food missing or anything? Attempt to call it? I think that would be kind of a neat thing to happen!

I never thought of trying to call it... too bad, that would have been interesting!!! We did have a resident ghost at that house and I tried to communicate with her, but the cat I just took for granted!! You should try it with yours, let me know if it answers you!

I know this sounds weird, but I think I have a phantom cat in my apartment. I see shadows sometimes and sometimes I almost feel it jump on my bed at night. I do have 2 cats, and neither one of them come on my bed. My one cat sits at night and stares into the dark kitchen with his ears raised as if he sees or hears something. Could it be the phantom cat eating my cat's food? LOL!!!

That's strange! Animals always know when a presence is near, whether natural or supernatural. And I bet your cat, if it could talk, would certainly blame a phantom cat just so it could get more food!

lol..may be.. but u just threw my imaginations wandering now.. if a human ghost wears a white blanket like thing and stands erect(this is how we usually perceive ghosts as?) how will a dogs ghost be??lol

I've always thought of ghost dogs as normal-looking. They have no horrible secrets or twisted thoughts to turn their spirits into ugly things so they'd look the same as they were in life!
