This is a horrific story... If this guy had gotten what he deserved forty years ago Tracey Greenbury would be alive today and her two children would not be orphans.
Tracey (33) was dating 60 year old Leigh Robinson who had been convicted of raping and murdering another woman 40 years ago.
Tracey knew about the murder and jail time served but after finding out about the rape tried to leave Mr Robinson.. He chased her down the street with a gun and shot her in the neighbours yard.
Talk about a miscarriage of justice!
He was originally sentenced to death for the first murder but the sentence was revoked by the victorian governor and he was sentenced to life imprisonment instead (25 years jail)

How awful, that poor family. I often wonder why a woman would pursue such a man. I also do not understand why a life sentence can be anything less then the rest of their lives. If they just kept to that he would never have been able to do that. This is such a crazy country at times. I really feel very sad for her children and family.

It's a crazy world dee... here in Australia a 'life' sentence is only 25 years (effectively a generation)
I've got to say that I also feel sorry for the neighbours whose doorstep she was on when he shot her... how traumatised would they be? She was obviously running to them for help when he shot her.
