First I am a sub. I work for the jr high, for a teacher who quit lest semester. Today in class we had a student just get into the face of one of the teachers I am working with. I was watching how he was handling the situation and for him it was great. I know if I had been in the same spot I would have smacked her the first time she touched my face. I am praising the teacher for keeping his calm. Another teacher was also involved and she has about had it with this student as well. She thinks she is allowed to do anything she wants. She threatened the teacher with "Wait till my daddy get up here" I so hope that daddy whoops her behind for treating a teacher the way she did. And what started this all? We asked her to have a seat in a desk and she refused. I just don't understand how kids can think talking back to the people who are teaching you. I know if I had ever done that I would have been beat till I couldn't sit down for a month. How do you handle unruly children? If my kids ever thinks about doing what this student did I would bury them in the back yard!

You see, that's the problem with the kids today. That dad probably won't do anything at all to discipline his daughter making her think that what she did was ok. The school systems messed up big when they took discipline out of schools. Oh, yeah, they still have in school suspension and out of school suspension, but that does no good as you are giving the students what they want, out of class. I remember when I was going to school, if we back talked a teacher or misbehaved I got a paddle to my butt. Needless to say, I only acted up once, because not only did I get it at school, but I also got it at home. I am a substitute as well, and when I have an unruley student, I just send them to the office. I was told when I started working at the high school that I don't have to deal with the students when they get like that, and I don't.
