The Student's Guide to Making Money

When I was a kid, I had a book called "The Kid's Guide to Making Money" I don't know if it's still in publication, but it was one of my favorite books because it was filled with brilliant business ideas that even children could do, and presented in an attractive, colorful and humorous way. If only there was one for students. There are so many opportunities "outside the box" that we hear about - the entrepreneurs who started making computers in their bedroom (Windows 95?) for example. We all can agree that everything is going online - ecommerce, affiliate programs, blogging, etc. So is there any room for the simple car washing jobs anymore? Is it worth the effort? What are your opinions on the best way to make money as a student? I think passion is the most important factor. If you're not passionate about the job at hand, forget it. That goes for business ideas, rather than flipping burgers (not many people get excited about that). But if you're serious about making money from a website or a "bricks and mortar" business, you had better be prepared to invest ALOT of time, energy and perhaps finances towards achieving your goal. I'd like to hear some success stories about your personal ventures as well as your opinion on the question: Can you make more money online or offline? Thanks,GoldJournals
