Population of woman in the world.

I just got to know about this, if it true that woman over populated men by 12:1?? The last I know was 6:1.
Is it true?

No the male population is lower because the chances of getting a Y chromosome is not 50/50. Therefore fewer men. What about the gay males? By your theory they are to blame for not creating more men.

I am not good with math, I am sure you could convert this to a ratio.
51% of the worlds population is women and the other 49% is men.

oh.. well, thats not much difference then. But are you for sure? The latest statistic I heard was 32% men 68% woman.
