Does anyone know what Ryan was talking about?

At the opening of the show this evening, Ryan commented on the falseness of the rumor. Paula looked like she was holding back tears due to Ryan's comment in defense of her. I have no idea what rumor was going around, but I would like to know. I like gossip for the interest factor, and I have a hard time passing it on without clearly stating the fact that it's a rumor. If I hear something and I tell someone else, I make sure that it's known that the information was passed on to me, I didn't actually see it. Now I'm off subject. Sorry. Does anyone know what the rumor was?? Thank you.

Adding to the comments that are already posted... I also read a rumor that the format of the show was switched near broadcast time, which is why it seemed off and rushed. They were supposed to sing both songs back to back (which wouldn't make much sense) and have the judges comments right away. Also, I read that Paula usually attends the dress rehearsal along, which is where the clips at the end of the show come from. That had to be where the "second song" comment came from as it was pretty right on for what he actually sang.

They believed she was under the influence of something.. Ryan was just clearing that it wasn't true. So I'm guessing that's the rumor.
