Paid to Click

I have been reading a lot of posts regarding paid to click websites. While this sounds dubious to me there are indeed many of these websites around and I fail to understand the logic or rationale behind these schemes. If you will try doing a google search on "paid to cliek" you will find that a ptc website was shut down by google adsense because it is against its TOS where it is clearly stated that encouraging members or visitors to their sites to click on the adsense ads is a violation. The main income for this website was adsense and google suspended their license which effectively stopped their operation.
