It seems like there are more freak accidents with animals and animal attacks...
The sting ray who harpooned the woman in the boat recently, a tiger attack, a bear attack, etc...
I am wondering what is the reason for these freak accidents and attacks on people by animals?
What is their cause and what are the ways that people can protect themselves from being attacked in such a way?

The advice about reading the signs and refraining from teasing the animals is a good thing. Thanks for sharing it.

HI whiteheron.
Most of the animal attacks happen due to human invasion into animal territory. Apex predator in any area do not recognize humans as their pray,so they tend to avoid humans in general. In a few cases,if a tiger or leopard becomes man-eater,then it is really a big danger. Once they kill any man, they learn that men are the easiest preys with nothing to protect themselves. Naturally,no predator in the world recognize humans as its prey. So if you happen to face a wild animal, better let them keel thinking that you are NOT a prey.
If you ever face a a big cat like lion, tiger or leopard,DO NOT run away. It simply gives an impression that you're a prey. Stay whereever you are. Step back slowly. Dont stare into animal's eye directly since this signifies a direct challenge to animal. Do not ever bend down, animal will think you are charging. If animal goes ferocious and charges, extend your hands, your shirt or jacket and try to make yourself as big as possible. Remember since humans are not their preys, they know nothing about human's weaponry. This is a big advantage. Make as much noise as possible. All you have to do is,make the predator think that you are not its prey.
A bear's attack on humans is extremely rare. While facing a bear,do not make noise. Unlike big cats, bears get just irritated by noise and may charge.Step back slowly, try to make yourself comfortable. If you watch many life documentaries, you might have seen Cheetahs adopting the same strategies against hyenas.
If animal really attacks you despite all of your efforts, try to fight back. Wild animals never want to risk any injury.Sometimes even a zebra, which is a regular prey of lions, escapes just by fighting back a little.
If you have questions about more animals, feel free to ask. :-)

Thanks so much in posting all of this information. It seems clear that you know your material... wondering how you gained all this information about these animals and what to do when they attack?

Hi whiteheron.
I am into wildlife studies for quite a time. My area of study is about big cats and snakes.
Remember just like humans, every animal is unique and somewhat unpredictable. No guideline could be perfect about what to do while facing wild animals.Animals mostly behave on instinct, and instinct are impossible to learn completely.
Good luck.

Hi dear.
Animals attack on peoples due to their frightness.
They feel people can harm them.so they attck on people,
never try to go alone in forests.

I think that in my area forests are rather safe... especially the Redwoods but I can imagine that forests where there are tigers, lions, and other animals sure would not be too safe to be alone in.
I'm wondering if it is too that the animals sense our fear...
I am remembering now one man that I knew who trained dogs and he told me that the majority of dogs that bite, bite because the human being said, "Don't bite me" and the dog, who does not hear the word "don't" did what he thought was requested and bit the woman or man.
I have a friend who used to be afraid of getting stung by bees in an apartment complex that had flowering bushes that attracted a lot of bees.
She used to tell them "Don't come near me" and they came near here more. Then I told her to picture them going into the bushes and to tell them "go in the bushes. Go in the bushes" and guess what? She did try it and they did as they were told.
