Hey....there was this program on History for the doomsbay wherein they have shown that as per Maya Calender World is going to end in 2012. Also the date for which they have predicted it matches with the prediction of Nostradamus as per the last book found on his research. Is it real??? Even if it is can human being still can do anything about it.??

How such a vivid and real world ending in 2012, within only one year. What will happen at that time? An asteroids hit the earth---which had made dinosaur extincted,it is said. Even though it is like that, there must be a process.
Dinosaur was not disappeared suddenly, and some of them have survived in fact.So what about human being?

Hi PM2020, You are correct about the Maya calender, it ends on Dec.21,2012. I don't believe it says anywhere that it will be the last day for the planet. Their long calender started several thousand years ago, and ends on that date. I guess it had to stop somewhere. I don't take any of these predictions serious, as people have been predicting the end of the world for thousands of years. I am much more concerned about what is happening in the world right now, and finding a solution. We may destroy the planet, but it won't be because someone predicted it. Blessings.

Many people have been saying the same thing regarding predictions, playing with numbers, guessing what profets meant, etcetera.
And still, we are here ... at least you, me and plenty other myloters.
Live life happily, it's far shorter than you expect.

No one knows when the world is going to end. Only God does. Let's not even think about that for know. It's too depressing. But, everyone has to die someday. People could live to be 132 or even more. Let's enjoy life and try not to commit any sins...

I think its crap, just to get some attention that is it.... Predictions are always open to various interpretation, in addition, There is no specific logical reason why world would or should end by 2012.
Just believing what we hear or feel creates panic and some people like to create panic....

Hi PM2020, Welcome to myLot and I hope that you will enjoy your time here and make both money and friends. I have found this to be a good site where you will get paid if you continue posting. You can either start your own discussions or comment on those of others, most people do both. Now to your discussion, I don't believe the world is going to end in 2012 but many changes are already starting to come about. I am convinced that our society cannot continue in the way things have been going for the past fifty years. The human race now has the power to send us back to the stone age if not wipe us out completely, so in a way it is us who decide if and when the world will end. There has to be many changes if we are going to survive but I don't think it has anything to do with 2012 anymore than it has about tomorrow, next year or twenty years from now. I do however have hope that people will wake up before it is too late. Blessings.

Balance of Nature is disturb so badly that such thing is becoming inevitable I think life on earth might diminish by 2012 I can say the extent but yes nature can respond adversly to the cahnges men has done to it .........
We can see that climate has strted to behave abnormally even today and it can give rise to natural calmities

i do not think we need to be unduly worried about the year 2012. nothing catastrophic will happen on that date to end life on earth. i have read a book on the same topic and found nothing regarding the end of world. i think many area misreading into those which they cannot understand. they might be pointing to changes happening on a cosmic level and i do not think this is what nostradamus predicted. we have researchers who will prove anything if they find it will earn them a few dollars more.

Those who believe that this may happen are feeling sad because they can't do any thing more as it's the work of scientists means they only can do anything regarding this issue. And those don't believe going on doing the routine. And they say they don't have time to think over all those things. Most people have to survive today if they wish to see tomorrow. So they are much bothered about today. If today they are survived they'll see whether it's going to be the ending day in their life. Nowadays most of all are on pay-to-day living conditions, right?

I don't that anymore. first the World would be gone on 2000 with the virus destroying the technologies that we are using how. then, now they talk about 2012, it's just the end of an era. not the world. of course, we might consider the coming of another planet named Nibiru as a cause of earths destruction which had been denied by the US government or maybe NASA as well.

They are saying they do not know what will happen, yet there are survival tips on it. I highly doubt it is real. But if it is, they will find out exactly what will happen before it does. I am sure people are working on it right now. But calendars end and start over all the time. I do not think i would let one theory scare me just yet.

Oh I guess these predictions has been happening for quite sometimes already. I guess since the time that man knew about his intellect he started formulating lots of predictions from the past and so far none have hit it right. 2012 is another year that was targeted by these famous people such as Nostradamus and they say that he is pretty accurate in his prediction.
For me, if that would be the end so what? I would rather attend to things I can do right now than stop me from moving on with my life right now. If that happens at least I could say to myself I did a good job in making my life happy for the remaining number of years. If that doesn't happen then good for me at least I have not wasted those precious times wondering what would happen to me if the world ends.

HiPM2020, Welcome to mylot, I hope that you will enjoy your time here and make both friends and money. This is a good site where it really is possible to make some money, but many people also stay here for the friendship. As for your discussion there have been many predictions about the end of the world and this is just one more. It is always possible that mankind will destroy the world as we are now capable of doing just that. Other than what we as a species might do or fail to do to the earth, this planet will be here for a long time. The end of this world for all of us will be when we die and you can be sure of that. Blessings.

People interpret things how they would like. There has been doomsday predictions almost every year for the past 2000 years. I really doubt that this one is the real thing either. Nostradamus is so vague in what he was writing no one can be sure what he means. His writings can be interpreted to mean what whoever is reading them wants them to mean. But if the world is going to come to end (and one day it will) then there probably isn't much we can do about it. I, personally, am not going to be building a bunker to try to live after 2012 because I don't think we really need to.

Actually, with a lot of research, you would find that the way the calendar the Mayans used is not accurate to the Gregorian Calendar that we use today. What I mean is the dates they speculated to correspond are not even the correct Gregorian Dates. Furthermore, the calendar stops at 2012 and then restarts, just like ours stops at December and restarts in January. I wish I could find the resource for this but I did a heavy research project on this a long time ago and cannot conclude my answers with links because it was too long ago.

Hi frnds,
I think its wrong the world ending in the 2012 year.No its a time to end so many years are there the world will destroy.
I will think only in positive minded.I will believe in positive mind.I don't think
that so the world is ending in the 2012 but its more time is their to end.
