do you have 64 bit OS ? or 64bit hardware ?

well my acer laptop has 64bit ready hardware, but i have no plans of upgrading into a 64bit os in the near future because of application issues..

no i have 32bit os and also 32 bit hardware, but i am planning to buy 64 bit hardware, can you please explain me whats the special difference btween then

The 64bit it is said is more secured against hackers etc.

I use Dell Laptop which doesnot have 64 bit hardware. This is the reason i dont ue 64 bit OS. Even i am interested in knowing what difference it will make.

I'm not using a branded PC though my mobo can support 64bit processors, I would not go for an upgrade just yet. I'm using a 32bit WinXP as my OS.

I have non branded x64 system, and using vista x64. I have just problems with old drivers, but everything is working ok.

it is clasified as the 64 bit hardware dude
