No, coz being scolded by other people that u don't even know, sucks! working at night when everyone in ur family are already sleeping, then you'll be sleeping when all the malls and movie theatres are open. But recieving big salary that those who works 9am-5pm, well...i can think about it;-)

well i think it really depends on the kind of people around you and how the workplace is and how the company takes care of the employees. i have been working as an agent for almost 4 years now. the salary is a big - yes, but the stress and all the negative things you heard and have to be susceptible about makes the pay worth it. so my answer is no, if you dont get along too much with your co-workers and yes if you do. I guess this principle applies to all kind of work. although you may not enjoy the work but as long as there are people who can make it fun for you then you wont notice that you're work really sucks.

i agree with u. I was a trainee of a certain call center last year...i enjoyed it bec of my friends, even tho i felt bored when we received our first calls on the last week of training. after passing the training, i got separated with the group, am not happy so i left...now im trying the non voice account, they said it's less stressful, i just dont know if the salary is the same.

non voice account?--meaning email support or chat??... that's cool! i would love to try that for a change!... talking and saying the same thing everyday i think shortens my life span and shrinks my brain!! hey let me know once you get hired ayt? thanks!!Ü

adventure - biking. biker. go around.
i used to work at a call center in the philippines...i think thats the only decent job that pays you decent money. i was getting 28,000 working for american express at eastwood city, libis, quezon city. i dont mind being yelled at coz theyre not mad at me personnally...theyre actually mad coz of the product of the company youre working with....it doesnt hurt me...i always put myself on how the callers feels...if it happens to me what happened to them i'd be mad too and a person who emphatizes with them will ease up thier anger.

hi cat! i am not an agent, but you know, i would like to try it out. after all, i work freelance, so i guess i can spare some hours in the night for the graveyard shift. that will just be a drastic adjustment for me though. i just want to find out about the lifestyle, the work, and the new culture that is arising in my city because of these new jobs. anyway, i am glad that these companies are in my city now because at least more people have better paying jobs. anyway, i dunno, i still haven't gotten to submitting my resume. i am busy with my projects. but hmmm...why not huh? but i don't want to call people. i just want to take calls. lol

Not all call center work late evening. Highmark has a call center and the latest I left the office was 8 pm. I just think that it depends on what you do and where you go for the the job. I always look for inbound centers they have the best pays and the most stable work. I have done this for a while and it has allowed me to have a life and go back to college. LOL!! you just have to look into the call center that you want.

Hello There! I have been working for almost 4 years in a call center industry. I would have to admit that it gives you a higher salary than the other regular companies but I can't say that this is not a good career because it is especially when it is still inline with your work. I works as a tech support(Networking) here and I took up BS comp sci so it is still inline with my course. Yes, working here will allow you to talk to irate and frustrated client but that is okay as long as I know that I am right and it is not everyday I get those kind of call. Plus, the pay is really good.

I'm a call center graduate 3 years ago and now i'm with the government service. I still miss my call center days-the fun, my friends and the salary. However, i now enjoy having the normal life of sleeping sound at night and plotting your weekly schedule ahead of time. Working at call center is both a blessing and a curse. I did enjoy my stay and that "thankless job" i did. I have learned to get to know foreign peolple better and somehow deal with them. However, i also experienced racial comments from irate customers that somehow affected my psychological being.

definitely not. i wouldn't waste my time studying if i'm gonna end up in call centers and i guess it's not worth it even though the salary was really that big
