this is one thing that has been bothering for a while now, now i am able to see how everyone else feels. i would like to know how every one feels about the support of all the branches in the war in iraq.. the army and marines have the most about of people over there then the navy, but the air force only makes up about about 3% of the troops over seas. i dont know how you all feel but i would like to see more participation from the other branches.. what about you all how do feel?

My brother is Army and my husband is Air Force. My brother has been to Afghanistan and right now he is in Iraq. I know a lot of people that are AF and deploy to both places. The military is actually in the process of becoming more of a joint force. The AF has been deploying more and more with the Army. Part of my husband's job is to train troops in combat before deploying. He has been deployed many many times in his career. The thing you fail to realize is that the Air Force's mission in the past has been more of a support role. They are changing this but it takes time, training and money. It will not happen over night. To send troops that are not ready would be bad for everyone. I know nothing about the Navy. My dad was Navy, but it was before I was born. And welcome to mylot!

Welcome to mylot. We are happy to have you join this great community. I have requested you as a friend. As far as the troops in Iraq I don't know what the percentage is but I do feel that all branches of the service should have the equal amount of troops sent over there. No one branch of service should have to carry most of the load.

I'd like to see LESS participation from all branches - in other words, let's start bringing them home, in a sensible manner, of course, but let's get this atrocious war over. Annie
