Has David Beckham been overrated

he is a hell of a soccer player but i do not think that one person need all of that money just to play a sport that they love to play... but if there are some people out there who think that they that good and need that much money to be happy and are willing to pay them and then they dont win.. because he was hurt most of the season.. so yes i do think he is overrated..

Looking at his footballing skills i think he is way too much overrated. Great football players are those with the like of Kaka, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Maradona, Pele, Zidane who have made an impact of football in their own respective team. However if you look at his celebrity image, i think he fits the skills as footballing celebrity. That's why Sir Alex Ferguson release him to Madrid because of Beckham wife keep on pushing him to join Madrid for the sake of money and fame. So indeed David Beckham is really famous as his wife wanted him to be, but his footballing skills is still the same just like as he was in United team long time ago.
