I tend to work 10am-8pm, which I hate as I dont get home til 8.45pm. Tomorrow though I am working 8.30am-4pm, which I prefer although getting up in the morning can be a struggle!! If you do shifts, whats you favourit shift that you work? If you dont work shifts, what shifts would you like to work???

I have experienced several kinds of shift and an 11 am to 8 pm works quite well for me. I'm a night owl and a late riser, and I hate being caught in traffic. So by coming to work at 11, I miss the morning rush and going home at 8 pm, the afternoon traffic is over. So this kind of schedule works pretty well for me. The only downside with this routine is that you either eat dinner at work or eat late like when you get home. It can be a challenge if you are trying to eat on time, still I think its a fair exchange for a stress-free commute to work.

I hate coming home and then having some tea, normally I dont eat after work. I'll just snack on something!! It is peaceful coming home at 8pm. I hate getting caught in the school rush on the bus which is the downfall about working at 8.30am!!

i prefer working graveyard shift. though getting sleepy/falling asleep is inevitable, i find it more comfortable and ideal, especially for a mom like me. i find graveyard shifts ideal because it is a struggle waking up in the morning. then add to that the hassles of going through the rush, traffic and all. when i go to work at night, i am assured that my son is just at home sleeping. and when he needs me at school or for wahtever during the day, i am sure that i would have the time for him without filing a leave from work. though it may be to my expense, it's all worth it being available to my family without sacrificing my job. working graveyard strikes a balance between work and personal matters.

Since I work at home, I get to set my own hours. I usually get up around 8am and work 2-3 hours. Then I have the rest of the day free. I sometimes working a couple hours in the evening as well, depending if we have a presentation or not. Back when I was a job, I loved 7am-4pm. You don't get that shift often, because everyone else wants it too!

I personally prefer to work early morning shifts, that way I have the rest of my day to do whatever I please. Right now, I work from 10pm-6am, and I hate it. I lose my entire day, because I'm sleeping during it, and then my sleep schedule gets all screwed up, because the days that I'm off I want to stay up, and be able to do things during the day.

My mind is ready to work in the early morning(early to me is about 8 am) my body says midday/afternoon(11-4ish). I cannot work any longer than 4 hours at a max if I will be active at all. My work right now is babysitting and light house work. I tend to be more open to sitting in the early day, and cleaning in the afternoon. Evenings and night times are devoted to my family.

I have to say my favorite shift is second. I am definitely not a morning person, so I like the later start. Even if I don't get off until 11 or 12 pm, that suits me better. My next favorite shift is third. I miss the sleep, but I get off early in the morning, go home to sleep, and then that afternoon I have to myself. I can only do third shift for a week at a time though. After a while my body starts acting weird because my sleep schedule has been shifted.

Dear friend, I would like to be in 11.00 am to 8.00 pm shedule. May be it gives a better sleep to have better mind. I hope a better sleep could give better concentration and energy for next day. Still I like more flexible time than any fixed on. I would opt for the job to finished no more pending one could just go home.

I prefer to work the night shift myself, or the graveyard shift some would call it. I know it sounds kind of crazy, but it's the truth. Usually it's more laid back since there's not as much management around so we have more fun. Also, that way you never have to waste a perfect sunshiny day going to work. I still have the entire day to get other things done. It just seems to work out better for me.

I work 3rd shift 10pm til 6:30am. I have been doing this for 5 1/2 yrs. now. I useally get home around 7am. I am so used to it so it dosn't bother me like it used to when I first started working night shift. I guess it all depends on the person.
