can you hear a snake crawl?

My daughter come home the other day with the girl up the street,and they were laughing so hard they about in tears,I said ok, I want to laugh with you ,whats so funny? The neighbor girl says ,did you know your daughter can hear a snake crawling trough the grass.I said no way.She said it`s true.We were walking down the sidewalk,your daughter stopped all of a sudden and said.I can hear a snake comming at us in the grass,I said where is he, she said i`m not sure,but I can hear him,they run out in the street and waited and watched,sure enough here came a snake,I guess she heard another one alittle while latter,she hollared and said their`s one over here.I had to go see this.I could not believe it their was one in the grass.
