Although I personally could never ever have an abortion, I do believe that a woman should be able to control their own body no matter what. Therefore abortion on demand is a woman's right.
I would never hold anything against anyone who has had an abortion nor judge there reasons for having an abortion. The descion has to to be made by the woman and only she knows what is right for her body.
I do also believe in the child has a right to live its life, but I think you have to also think about what life that child will have etc.
What do others think?

I really don't like discussions like this, and usually get a lot of flack over it from other mylotters, but I always feel that I have to respond to them as well. I don't believe or agree with abortion at all. I know that I could never have one done. The thing is, the child didn't ask to be born, the baby is completely innocent. People always say, "well what is she was raped", there is always adoption if you can't handle looking at the child from the memory. To me, it's killing a child no matter what. That baby is a baby from the moment of conception. That is my belief. God bless

Abortion is never a pleasent thing and I would not recamend it as a form of birth control. However, history has shown that when abortion has been outlawed the situation has been a disaster.
Yes, killing of a featus may be murdering an unborn child. But banning abortion will only lead to the practice going underground and more grown women dying at the hands of quacks. So, which is worse, the removal of a life that may not have meant to be or the lives of full grown human beings?
As unsavory as abortion may be, keeping it legal is the most practical and ultimately most moral option available to us.

i totally understand that. it being illegal would only make women do it illegally, which would be a hazard to them. you have been the most respectful at answering my post than any other person has ever been. thank you for that. i expected to be bashed, as i usually am. God bless

and the bashing begins. i knew i would get it sooner or later. to answer you though, i was in no way judging you. it's not my place to judge what other people do. i have only spoken truth in what i felt and believe in my heart to be right and wrong. there is a big difference between speaking truth and judging someone. i don't know you and i'm sorry for your situation. i truly am. it amazes me though how many people come lashing out on here that have had an abortion, instead of just simply trying to explain why they did what they did or why they felt they had to do it. why do you get so angry? this is a discussion and everyone is entitled to their opinion. i definitely wasn't judging anyone though. that's God's place, not mine. God bless

I don't believe in abortion unless a woman became pregnant against her will or if it is medically necessary, but even in those cases, I don't agree but I could see why I woman would consider abortion. So it's okay to give a woman the right to end a life but it isn't okay for someone to want to end their own life? Granted, if someone really wanted to end their life, they would do it anyway. But why isn't okay for someone to seek the help from a doctor when wanting to end their life? After all, by the theory of pro-choice, that should be okay? Because after all, we should have control of our own bodies no matter what, right? To me it's the cowardly way out.

I can understand what your saying, when i fell pregnant i was on the pill and after all it's not 100% safe.
It was the worse things i had to decide on, to this day i regret and feel guilty for doing it. But i was in debt up to my eye balls and my parents had given me a choice either i could live there and get rid of my baby or i would have to move out, as the council would not help me i had no choice.
I hope nobody is ever in my situation where you try to do the right thing by using contraception, but then have to choice family or baby. I pray nobody has to find out.
It's all part of my depression now, i am now having councilling 10 years on. It's something that never goes away.
People should never judge people because they do not know what they would do if it happened to them without being in the right place in your life.

I'm in the spectrum against abortion in certain situations. I feel that reasons such being poor or not ready is never an excuse to kill another human being. You chose to do "it", you should be prepared for what may come later.
But for situations where the woman did not choose to have do "it" (rape, incest) or it will put herself in danger if she continues to conceive, I feel that the woman should be given the right to choose if she wants to keep the baby or otherwise. Pe it's a choice they can take after weighing other options like adoption.
There's always a better option in every situation. We just need to have the courage to do it.

I agree, but the woman should be controllng of her body not to have abortion in the first place. Unless she was raped then it would be understandable.
I conclude to say that all children have a right to live. Even if its the child of a raped mother.

i believe abortions should be able to be used if a girls gets sexually abused but if its the girls fault she gets pregnant lets say she gets knocked up from a party thats her fault and to cut the kids life isnt fair. well tahts my opinion

i am not against abortion. but killing an embryo is just like killing a child. even it is a human being and have the right to live in the world like anybody else has. so, i believe nobody have the right to kill others. so, killing an embryo/ aborting is a criminal offense. moreover, its a sin.
but there are certain situations where it can not be avoided. thats why i told i am not totally against abortion.
