No Milkshakes?!?

The Mickey D's near me no longer offers milkshakes. What's up with that? I'm gonna complain to Ronald McDonald now. That's just wacky. And I don't like soda. Believe it or not, it's tough to find a place that sells an inexpensive milkshake. Many restaurants either don't make them or if they do will charge $3., $4. and $6.00 dollars for it. What a rip off. I'd make my own if I could afford the groceries right now. Darn it. Oh well. Have you ever gone to an eatery that you frequent once in a while and they suddenly stop selling your fave thing w/out notice and for no reason? :-}

Geez, first no super sized meals, now no more milk shakes? This is getting ridiculous! I truly don't understand this at all. I am overweight, I used to eat McDonald's quite frequently, but never once did I blame the restaurant for my weight problems, I blamed myself for choosing fast food and other junk food over healthy meals. McDonald's didn't ever force and Big Macs or milk shakes down my throat. But because some overweight moron decided they could earn a few bucks by claiming this fast food restaurant was the source of their problems, McDonald's could no longer serve their super size meals. Now milk shakes? What next? I love McDonald's milk shakes. Especially around St. Patrick's Day when they have Shamrock Shakes, or at Christmas when they have egg nog shakes. If the ones near me stop carrying them I will be very upset!

That really stinks. McDonald's has had milkshakes forever. Hopefully they don't take it out all the McDonalds restaurants. I get them for my daughter as a treat instead of an ice cream. Sometimes I find that restuarants change up their menus quite often. I go there and order something I really like then go back to that restaurant to order the same thing again and they no longer serve it. That really annoys me!

Hi katsmeow, I know! All I wtd. that particular day was a shake and small fries. I left with nothing but a sour attitude. I used to love the specialty shakes like the Shamrock Shake for St. Pattys. When I was growing up in Maryland, B4 I moved to NYC, they'd also occasionally offer the Banana milkshake; Or if the Baltimore Orioles were promoting something, as well as during Halloween they'd sell Orange shakes. That was awesome because it tasted like one big Dreamcicle. Yum!

That's weird. I wonder if they will all be that way within a year. I haven't had one since I was like ten though. I wonder if they still taste the same way. I haven't had an issue with restaurants though. I have been looking for several Hostess cake snacks in my area. They are disappearing.

It is odd. I've not visited every MD because though it's NYC, fast food joints are spaced so far from each other. Not many are nearby. And all I wanted was a lousy shake and fries. I just had a taste 4 it. So I left. Also when I called their delivery once, they also told that they were no longer doing shakes. As far as Hostess goes I've not had their products in ages. I didn't realize they were going the way of the dinosaurs too. Six years back I was feeling nostalgic and, since I could not find them at any of the grocers, I special ordered 1 box of Twinkies and 1 box of the butterscotch iced Tastycakes. OMG YUCK!!! I surmised that over the years either a) my palate has matured since 1980 and I was 12. and/ or B) the ingredients and manufacturing process of their goods has changed drastically for the worst. It tasted so synthetic. So I pushed the boxes off onto a neighbor that had grandkids visiting. LOL! Good luck w/ your quest.
