1 Timothy 4:16

--as it is written below:
2 Timothy 2:15
"...a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."PLS! Indicate the name of religious sect or denominations where you belong to, your and your response

I am a minister in the Assemblies of God.
Rightly dividing the Word of Truth is not something that should be taken lightly. There is a reason why Paul stated that a novice should not be a teacher. It's not that the Bible is complex and full of secrets, but that without serious study, some things can be taken out of context. So, you study, research, see what others have had to say, especially those who have made great impact on the Church throughout history, and pray. It's also important to remember that Paul tells preachers that should they mislead God's children, they are destined for harsh punishment from God. It is not something to be taken lightly.
Ultimately, each minister must take serious the responsibility given to them. Are there going to be those who don't take it seriously? Of course. There are leaders in all realms who abuse their power. We are human, we are imperfect, we are fallen. We all make mistakes. I would say, though, most take it very seriously.

If you were a history teacher at a college, how would you be sure that the facts you were presenting were correct? There is a point in study that you take all the relevant information and process it. With the Bible, if you carefully study the Bible, nothing you preach could contradict what is taught or the overall meaning of the book. As you prepare, you seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Since He is God, He will not contradict what is written.

thanks for your comment
Do you mean that there is no contradictions in the bible, as you have said. If that so, why is it that you as assemblies minister differs in interpretations on the
Word of God with other religious denominations. I was thinking of that, most probably and logically if a bible preacher contradicts another bible preacher, that would mean
One of the two is telling the truth, or neither of them is wrong. Do you agree with that?

jayperiod;
I do believe what you have said that it should not be taken lightly. But, I still have a question, personally on you as a minister in Assemblies of God,after intensive reasearch and study, still how do you know or how sure are you that what you have learned and whats on your mind that you are going to preach on your member are true and correct, according to the bible?
do you have any official website of assemblies?

First of all, I would like you to know that I am not a Pastor or a Preacher in a Church. I am an ordinary member of an independent, fundamental, soul-winning, non-compromising, bible-believing, and hell-fire preaching Baptist Church!
First I would like to know is: Are you 100% sure that when you die, you will go to heaven? I will provide you my answer to your question after you have honestly answered that question. thank you!

danzer;
Let me clarify first:
Im not a pastor or any of its kind. Im just a simple bible reader who seeks the truth. And Im also one like you who also wanted to save someday. But my question is for someone who preaches the word of God, someone who preaches salvation.
To your question: Im not in a position to answer or to claim that Im 100% sure to salvation or not. I'll just leave it to God, to decide whether Im worthy enough or not.
Since, It is His prerogative.
I hope I answer to you clearly, Pardon me Im not a preacher as I've said.

I just wanna clarify on this:
"It has nothing to do if how good or bad we are", what do you mean? It doesn't matter if we do good or bad, it doesn't affect our chances to be saved?
sorry for my delayed reply, I was had a problem at home.
Thanks for your comment

I am a lay minister at a small independent church called ROL: River Of Life. We just call ourselves Christian.
But to answer your question many times when writing a sermon or a lesson we look to other scripture not just the one...we see what other verses say on the subject and sometimes look at other commentaries to see if what we are thinking coorelates with what others are seeing. When others feel the same way about a scripture it has the added enforcement that it's the right path.
The majority of the time before we begin to write, the senior pastors and I pray to God to give us his wording and not our own.

Thanks for the reply:
"sometimes look at other commentaries" do you mean seek other pastors comments or ideas?
