Update on Mystery Shopping

So, the prepaid mystery shop was a scam. I knew it was, but I had to check, you know? Anyway, like I said, I had my bank call to verify the account the check was drawn on, no such account -- go figure! So, anyway, SSA International Marketing and Survey, Inc. is a scam if anyone else gets a letter from them.

How did you find out that it was a scam. My mom got a letter from them as well, and I am really worried about that!

I just took the check to my bank and asked them to verify it before they cashed or deposited it. I use a local credit union, so they're pretty personal with their clients, but any bank would do that if you just ask. They'll do it anyway, but it's best to ask them to do it up front before you do anything with the check.
