You need to have a balanced diet. Don't follow fad diets because although they make work in the short term, the weight rarely stays off. You need a small amount of a lot of things. You do need some fat in your diet but good fats not saturated fats. You should drink plenty of water, at least 8 glasses a day. This will make you feel better, hydrate your skin, flush out toxins and many other things. Be sure to eat plenty of fresh vegetables every day although frozen ones can have just as much goodness. Avoid tinned vegetables as the goodness is usually gone. You must exercise regularly as this is the main way to lose weight. Remember that with exercise, you will gain muscle. Muscle weighs heavier than fat so as you get more fit you may not actually lose weight but you will see a visible difference in your shape. Good luck!

Perhaps your weight increase could be due to some hormonal imbalance. It could even be the cause of any medications you are on. I would suggest, that to loose weight, you eat less food but more frequently. If you eat too much in one sitting you could store too much food as fat.

Here are some number to go by.
Eating more than 700 calories in a sitting adds a substantial amount of fat to your body.
Eating around 500 calories at a time is the amount of food your body needs at any one given time.

Needless to say, eating too little can cause to to gain fat as well. Do not eat less than 20-30 percent less calories than you need, this is a safe level to eat at.

How does lemonage diet work? Do you mind elaborating a little more on that?

I have tried all sorts of diets, pills & even tried starving myself. But what really worked for me was regular workout, and a clean & lean diet. I had a personal trainer who worked out a workout pattern for me, and taught me all the right food to eat. I didn't even had to sweat it out on the treadmill!
If you want to do it the fast & correct way, consider investing in a personal trainer. But whatever you do, do try starving yourself! :)

Good job!!!!!!!!!! Looks like a great step towards loosing some unwanted weight. The bellydancing and the diets really help but want to keep you posted diets are not only helpful but in the times to come they will end up having negative results also. Do follow a balanced diet but do not reduce the amount of food that you consume. It would rather help if you eat food that can give you the basic ingredients for gaining optimum energy for daily activities and leave out those which add fat to your body. To get a better insight into the food stuff that will help you for this you should contact a nutritionist. One very important thing that you should remember is that you are trying to reduce the fat intake and not looking at burning the fat that is already accumulated. For this there are two very good options. A nice work out(no weights included). The work out can include running(better if you are running slightly uphill at a constant pace), abdomen work outs(these excercises actually affect all the fat carrying body parts), a steam bath at least twice a week or more as your time permits. For the excercises to be followed for a complete abdomen work out please ask a gym instructor to guide you. I hope these suggestions will help you in your endeavour. And all the best for your future.

Yes, consistent exercise and a healthy diet. If you cut back too much on your food, the body learns to horde what it gets. Keep your metabolism up with exercise and eat healthy stuff because the body knows how to break it down easier & how to use it. That's the difference between refined sugar and sugar in fruits. Plenty of water, and plenty of rest (that's when muscles grow, and muscles are what eats the calories). By the way, when you do aerobic exercise, and you've had about all that you can take, dig down inside and stick it out for just another 15 seconds. I found out that "there's always more" and when I consistently did that, it built my confidence in myself as well! Aloha!

David Letterman once mentioned a weight loss method on his show that didn't require diet or exercise. It was disease! lol Seriously, I have heard and found that eating 4-5 small healthy meals a day can help you lose weight. My problem is that I most eat at or just after work and it is not always the healthiest food. My biggest problem is chocolate! Another idea that I have heard is not to eat anything four hours before going to bed.

Eat more on fruits. Reduce carbs. Well, in the morning- you can eat like a king, during lunch time - eat like a queen, and at dinner time - eat like a pauper. It is better to skip your dinner than to skip your breakfast.
