Are Crocs dangerous for kids or are parents the ones responsible?

If you haven't heard, people are getting their crocs caught in escalators and toenails are getting torn off. I heard this awhile ago, but it was on the news again the other day. I heard that the parents of the injured kids are going to sue Crocs because it's the company's duty to warn against these things. I am a parent and I know that if something like this were to happen to my child, I would be devastated. I do not ever want my child to get hurt. However, I do not think that this is Croc's problem. They are pair of shoes for Pete's sake! Plus, these parents should have taken care of their kids and helped them off the escalator. I know I should never say never, but I would never let my sons get on and off an escalator alone. I do not recall what ages these kids were, but I think they were pretty young. I am so sick of lawsuits like this when the consumer is at fault. Remember the lawsuit against McDonald's for the coffee being too hot? Ridiculous!

I agree with you. I've seen those things on very young children that really don't have the physical dexterity to handle escalators without help. But parents nowadays seem to expect much more from their young children than they're capable of doing--grow up quick and leave me alone, is what it seems they're doing.
I don't think the Croc company should have to pay anything. Every one of us, at least here in the U.S., have access to safety information if we're not too lazy to look. Any type of shoe that isn't secured to the feet or shoes that have laces hanging off them are apt to get caught in moving objects.
I just get really angry at the total lack of common sense that today's parents seem to embody. They don't even think about their kids much anymore, and treat them like small adults.
I'm all for someone getting damages if a company is truly negligent but I'm sick and tired of paying higher prices because of STUPID or greedy people!!!
What parent would put Croc shoes on their kids, anyway?! They're not good for growing feet!

Yes!!!! Very greedy people. I have never before thought twice about big companies getting sued, but when it comes to folks not thinking and blaming others, I get kind of angry. I actually never even thought of the lawyers representing these folks either, but I just don't understand how they can keep doing this and not feel like leeches.

Well i thin thats pretty crazy, How can these shoes cause someone to get caought in an escalator!LMAO. theres no shoe strings. nothing hanging off them. unless of course the back strap is half way broken off and dangaling. then that becomes the parents fault for letting the child run around like that.
Now i dont let my child wear them for other reasons.but my goodness.this hear is somthing crazy. i know this sounds bad but people are greedy these days all they can think about is money(not saying that this is what these people were doing).
and toe nails being pulled off. there isnt a whole right infront of the big toe. infact the whole toe part is coverd.lol so how did this happen again??.
