Life has us waiting for many things, from getting food, buying groceries to going to a movie. What is the longest you have had to wait in line for something you want? What is the longest you would be willing to wait in line for something you want?

I am pretty patient when it comes to waiting, I guess I know that I have to be if I want to get what I want! I think the only time I get a bit cross is at the Post Office when there are big queues there because that seems to take a long time to go down and it takes so much of my time up. Also when we go to theme parks and the queues are long there because that is frustrating having to wait an hour just for a less than five minute ride!!

I hate waiting in a doctors office even though it is necessary. It really irks me when I have a 9:00 appt. and don't get to see the doc until 10:00 or so.

Honestly, I guess the time I would wait would depend upon how bad I wanted whatever I was waiting on. I don't see myself waiting very long in a line anymore, however, once when I was younger, my family and I waited for 12 hours to see the King Tut Exhibit in Washington, D.C. The wait was grueling. The worst part was as we were about to enter the part of the Smithsonian where the exhibit was we were stopped as a "special" group went ahead of us. My father found out after the fact that the groups was people who subscribed to the Smithsonian magazine. That was no problem except that he had been a subscriber for years and could have gone in without any wait at all. To make matters worse, the fact that the mummy itself was not there was a point of which we were not aware. King Tut's exhibit with no mummy. Wow, what a long wait to be dissapointed. It was during the mid 1970s and it was fascinating to see the artifacts, so I am glad I did, but was it worth 12 hours of waiting? I don't think so.

Maybe King Tut wasn't there cause Chuck Norris was kicking his Ace.(bandage all over the place.)

I remember two! First was when I was a kid. In my place, it's very very rare for a Circus to visit and perform here! It's like every human being in my place got themselves a ticket. It's worth the wait. ;) Second, to watch the movie Titanic. :D

So, you would actually wait in line overnight for something that you want?

I actually stood in line at a toy store for almost 4hrs. while a truck was being unloaded to get a Baby Talk for my youngest daughter. I freely admit that was the longest i have ever stood waiting, and if i could have found one somewhere else i would have.
