Does your Dog blackmail you???

I have this amazingly cute Dachshund, who is 9 months old. She is very clever and knows me very well. Everytime she wants something, she'll make this very cute face and follow me around untill she gets what she wants. And whenever I'm eating something and I don't give it to her, she'll sleep on the floor and would not respond to her name, she acts as if she is angry with me..and to which i always happen to give her some piece of what I'm eating. There are times when i scolds her, she crawls on to me slowly and looks at me as if she is sorry, so I end up not scolding her but holds her and say sorry for scolding her..I know I should not make this a habit. but she know me very well now and knows what to do whenever I do something to her. Does you Dog do that as well??.. How do you handle them and make them more discipline??
