Whether "Mobile phone is a boon or a bane"?

For some it is a boon and for some it is a bane. I just do not like to talk on mobile except when there is an emergency. I have seen people speak hours on mobile. If conversation is overhead (without one's effort), one understands that most of the talk is just junk and useless. No doubt it saves time. But billion dollars is now spent on what was communication through telephone. Mobile industry has now provided jobs for millions in manufacture, distribution, servicing. I have not purchase a mobile set,because my office and home are situated next to each other and I do not require communication facility of that sort.
