Mother's Day is coming!!!

So what's everyones plans? Are you doing anything special for your mom, your wife, the mother of your kids? Moms!!! Are you expecting any special surprises? I'll share first! My son and I got my mom ( and his grandmother) a $20 gift card for Walmart, her favorite store.

Actually, I'm not expecting anything this mother's day. my kids are to young to go out and shop and my husband is away again and won't be home for another month. military for ya! LOL! As for what we will be doing for my mother, i really don't know yet. I want to do something really special for her, but i don't wanna do the flower thing. that's almost always expected and then they die within a week or two. i thought about taking her out to a nice resturaunt, but i still need to find something special to get for her. something that will surprise her and that she will love. haven't found it yet, so i don't know what to do. if anyone has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated. awww, thank you so much. those kind words are really sweet. It is definitely hard raising out three children while worrying about my husband and everything else. The thing is, my mother and I have really had a rocky relationship since i was 18. We are just now getting to the point where we can be friends and actually do things together and i really think it's important to show her that i really do appreciate her in some way. spending time with her is great, but i want to get her something as well. i don't know, maybe just showing up will be fine to. thanks so much and God bless

Hey a sgtswife04! Ok, I have to be honest with you....I'm kind of at a loss for words. I dont mean that in a bad way. I just admire and respect every solider and their loved ones! Im sure you hear a lot that your hubby dosent have an easy job but neither do you! ;) Then to hear besides having to worry about you hubby, your taking care of the kids and STILL finding time to worry about a present for you mom! My hats off to you woman! I know you want to get something for your mom but I think just spending time with her and showing her what an awesome job she did with you is a great present! yeah mother's day is coming and I stil don't have any idea on what will I give to my mom on that special day!!!.. whehw!! perhaps I'll cook her a very sumptuous dish since it's also my father's bday and all of us will be there to celebrate both mother's day and his own bday... on the other hand, I'm also excited and a bit curious about what gift will I get from my hubby and kids as well..lol... I'm sure your mom will be very happy about your gift for her.. enjoy that day!!! Happy Mother's day too in advance!!! cheers!!

Yes, mother’s day is coming! I have intended to treat my mom in an eat all you can buffet… that was last Saturday but we ended up taking out pizzas and buffalo chicken and Charlie chan pasta. Hehe :D it was a feast at home. My brother’s turn would be next week. nice for each one of us to celebrate it every weekend for the month of may.

I will be going to my mom's house and giving her the mothers day present I got her a claddaugh ring with a connemara marble stone in it from Ireland. The kids and I will visit with her for awhile and then we have to go to an open house graduation.
