I am not sure, I make 50 post within the day or more with my replies to my discussions but it really do improved my writing skills. I get to be more descriptive.

Yup, you just need to relax first then be confident so that you can answer a lot of discussion and that would surely improve your writing skills! Thanks!

Hi suehan, agree with you that mylot is the best platform for me to express my feelings and thoughts by writing here daily. I always try my best to post as much as I could during my spare time. I believe my writing skills, spelling and typing skill do improve much by practicing writing 10 to 20 posts averagely per day here. I feel happy when receiving responses and always endeavor to post comment on them.

Besides all the skills we have acquired here, it is really great to have so many nice and helpful friends from other parts of the world to chat with frequently here, in certain topics which we are interested. That's why I couldn't refrain from doing mylotting here once I have my leisure time

Oh my, this is what I'm struggling to right now. I think I'm still not in the mood to post here, just come by and respond to a few and leave.
But I believe that my writing skills has improved, I think it's just that something's been holding me back and enjoy more time being active here.
But since the urge of enjoying reading and sharing with friends never failed to get me logging on here, I always do my best to make my post in good quality as much as possible..

I feel the same way. When I was new to Mylot it took me long to gather my thoughts on what to write to discussions . But now ideas come very easy. When I see a discusssion of my interest I can now write what is in my mind. It has increased my postings too.

I am with you in thanking myLot for improving my writing skills, though I may say far from actually being there but a lot better than when I started. The problem I guest is in my interest, I am more in the technical side. With this I would say the responses are exact, it is as if the questions are answerable by yes or no, in fact elaborating it more would make it more difficult to understand. Unlike when the question is describing an emotion there are a hundred ways of responding to it. Before I would say I shy aways from long narrative discussions now I have a little confidence to even peek if not respond.
May I add also that friend I meet here in myLot is another factor in my development. How I wish there is an interest for this kind of improving writing skills. Thanks Suehan, I'm glad I found you post.

At an average, I get to have around just 15 posts daily. That includes both starting my own discussion and responses I make to discussions posted by other people. I really do not have that much time to do myLot. I wish I had more time to spare though. Well, in one way or another, my activities here at myLot has done more than just improve my writing skills. I believe I have learned a lot of things here.

At the moment I am concentrating on replying to discussions, while I get used to using the site. I plan to post discussions as well in the future, but at the moment I am happy with the way things are. I write on other websites as well as this and I do feel regular practice helps in improvig the style and quality of my posts.

I actually have difficulty deciding if mylot has helped be become more succinct in my responses or if I just continue to ramble like I do in my daily life.
I know that it definitely keeps me reading and writing and improves my typing speed and touch-typing abilities.
It keeps me entertained and able to entertain, inform and chat with other people, which is basically all I need =D

I got on alot of boards throughout my spare time. SO I usually post my 2 cents alot and my opinions and sometimes even have a peaceful debate. Mylot has inclined me to post more but I don't see an improvement on my writting skils.

You are right Su, my lot improves a lot of different social skills for everyone. Just the act of posting and responding in writing improves our eloquence and our ability to express ourselves "on paper" rather than verbally. This improves my skills at shutting my trap when someone says something foolish, or incorrect, or even racially loaded. I just think to myself that I would rather discuss what the person said with a safe group of adults who are not involved in the activity that brings about the stupid comments. It gives me an outlet to vent off the steam that builds under my top sometimes. Outrageous things, funny things, introspective things, these all find voice here on myLot. In addition it has to have improved your touch typing skills quite a lot. That is one of the reasons that I had joined myLot was to improve my rusty touch typing skills and my accurracy because I was bored with the typing site that I was using for this purpose. Since your quality star rating is 10 which is a high as it can get, I will make the assumption that the quality of your posts has always been good. But I like that even when you have the best rating that is possible here you are still seeking improvement in quality on your participation here. That is cool. The site needs more people who concern themselves as much with quality as with quantity. Stick with it kiddo!

I am a professional writer, so I can't say that this site has helped me with my writing though. I average about 80-100 posts as day, I enjoy this site and for the last month and a half I haven't had any writing assignments so I have been here everyday. I made a very good payout for April because of it.

I try to get anywhere between ten and twenty posts per day if I can, although sometimes other things in my life take over and I may go a couple of days or even weeks without making any posts. And some of it depends on how much spare time I have that day and whether I can find any discussions I can easily reply to off the top of my head. I like to put a lot of thought into my answers and responses to discussions, and be sure that what I have to say is something comprehensive relative to the discussion I am responding to. I don't partake in the discussions on topics I know nothing about and that type of thing. It is hard to say whether it has improved my writing skills. I just try to be honest, but also sincere in my responses, and of course try to stay on topic and not let myself ramble on and on about something either unrelated to the subject or something other people shouldn't have to know about. My writing skills certainly have not diminished, that is for sure.
I also think the more I earn, the more I feel compelled to participate because I am the type of person who is best motivated by success and progress.

I feel too, that since being a member here I have been brought out of my shell. I have always liked to write about my thoughts and feelings about things rather than say them to people. I post about 50 per day, depending on what mood I am in and whether or not I feel I can add anything useful to a discussion. I am not always happy with what I put as sometimes I feel I could have put more, but most times I am happy with what I say.
