My cat is in love and ....

...the whole neighborhood knows. She yells that loud. I thought only tomcats meow so loudly when they want to mate. But this female cat of mine! Phew! She darts in only to eat, and rushes out meowing again. I think I can expect kittens any day. What I don't understand is why my Mom looks at me so reproachfully. I mean, I am not responsible if my cat is in love, am I? Of course, I delayed taking her to be spayed. Ok, I admit I did want her to give birth to some sweet little kitties. But how was I to know that I would be ignored so shamefully for days? How was I to know that half the number of tomcats in the neighborhood would end up in my garden meowing?
Luckily, my own tomcat is still young and looks quite confused with the entire drama!!

LOL, she is a beauty with a nice bushy tail. That tom is crazy about her. It won't last though, LOL.. Just imagine what the world will sound like if humans behave like cats in heat. LOL

Hey, did noone ever tell you that being in love was hard?!
But, I'm afraid to say, that if you delayed the spaying then you have no-one but yourself to blame for the tomcats keeping you awake all night =P
Your own tom cat is probably wondering what the hell has got into his friend. My dogs are brother and sister so it's doubly important that we keep them apart when she's on heat. We do, but sometimes I don't know why we bother. He's not the brightest of dogs where ladies are concerned and he looks quite positivly terrified where she's concerned!
My cats, well I had them 'done' as soon as I was able!

LOL, that was interesting---about your dogs. Well, I really thought cats weren't so bothered. It was the toms who made all the noise. My cat has sure surprised me.

wow. there is a terrible cat overpopulation. i guess if you just let her have one litter and then have her spayed o.k. but yes cats are promiscuous and very very loud, and they will mate even in pouring rain. i've seen it. yes they will attract males from many miles around and they are loud too. they fight and the stronger ones get to mate with her. sometimes 2 or three of them. after wards she'll calm down. but she is left with a lot of hard work after she gives birth, so i hope you'll help her.the males just go on their merry way. my female cat has a boyfriend. she is spayed though. he's too dumb to realize that she's a spay. your little male is going to start catting around really soon. and yes he knows what's happening. at 5 months old they start to roam and spray. and fight. have him nuetered when he is 1 year old. or he will look like a girl. but please chop off those balls because there is a terrible cat overpopulation problem, at least here in calif. then calif. is a whole giant problem, the people are really mean. btw it is now cat season, there are cats screaming everywhere, and roaming, and crossing streets, and fighting, they're looking to mate. they really arne't in love. they just want to mate really bad. afterwards. the father, unless he's also your cat, will just take off, and diss his mate. just like in the human world. your cat will give birth in 2 months. make sure she has a nice queening box. sometimes when they are in heat, they don't even eat at all and of course they ignore you, they roll around on the ground and scream until they get pregnant. it scared me the first time it happened. i called the vet . i was 13, and the whole office was laughing at me, i said my kitty is sick, she's screaming and rolling around and she won't eat and making horrible noise, they laughed and laughed, and said "honey your cat is in heat" i was really embarrassed.

Hi Moopile, great maths! I don't think my cat's five kitties will ever get a chance to breed! For one thing, I got the cats from a shelter, and I plan to give at least a few of the kittens to the shelter, where I am sure they will find good homes.

Hi , some people go mad when they find out they accidently let a cat breed. these are the same people that are mean to humans. if your cat is already pregnant i'm sure your'e a responsible cat owner and will help her and give all the kitten to reponsible good homes and then have her spayed and any males nuetered. then next time, or some other time in the far tuture, its a good idea to adopt from a shelter. it does save many lives. also sometimes a cat off the street will just adopt you! it's happened a lot.
