I listen to Clark Howard, a really cheap guy with good advice. He endorses this company:

You can get glasses for as little as $8! You just have to enter the information from your prescription and it takes about two weeks to have them mailed to you.

I buy my reading glasses locally and get them for around the same price. I have several pairs so I can have one pair to take out with me, one for reading at home and a lower strength pair for when I am using my laptop. I find they are just as good as the expensive ones, and it doesn't matter if I break them as I can go out and buy another cheap pair.

Another thing is, you have the option to buy a new one when you start getting tired using the same reading glasses everyday. Sometimes it feels like you need to wear a new one at one point. (smiles)

This sounds like a really nice company and I will have to check this site out. My daughter keeps telling me that she needs glasses and I really don't want to be out all the money that it involves to get them so this would be a great help.

I'll have to look into this a little more. It kind of sounds like a "too good to be true" deal but looks pretty legitimate...especially since it was recommended by someone who apparently has a good name for himself.
The only thing I wonder about is how people will be able to get a good fit. I doubt many people know how to correctly measure themselves for glasses.

I thought about the fit. I think I would go see an optometrist and pay a small fee for him to adjust them. You can always say you're from out of town and they're not comfortable! With a decent pair of glasses going for more than $100, I'm going to order from this place next time.
