Have you heard the news about the women who died from drinking coke straighet from the can, can you imagine. Apparently the cans left in warehouses have rats roaming around and their urine and excrement gets left on the cans , lids etc. This is considered hight toxic and dangerous. this particular women , was on holiday boating and like you would simply bought the cans of coke and put them in her food basket, she drank straight from the can.
When she took ill she was rushed to hospital and died because of the infected rat droppings.
terrible, so all you coke can drinkers, dont do it, clean the cans properly first. PHEW!

Yes, I have heard about this. It is like any other thing that we buy in the store fruit vegtables etc. We must always be sure and clean them off before we eat or drink them. We never know what could have been on them. There are germs everywhere.

sorry for the delay in responding - you are absolutely correct - we need to be very careful about what and where we eat , particularly the pacaking which is kept in warehouses
thanks for your response

well, with veggies and fruits people are always reminded with "they use poisons to kill the weeds" or stuff like that so most of the time people will remember to wash them. but nobody reminds anybody to wash a can before drinking. so i guess it's pretty normal for people to drink straight from the can

Yah. my mom usually reminds me whenever i drink sofrtdrinks or anything from the can to always wipe the can clean. I think its just proper, sine we dont even know where those cans have been before reaching your hand. hehe. Merchandisers who transport or put those cans in the shelves wont even care as to where those cans have been or whether what would happen to those canned drinks as long as customers would buy their merchandise they wont care about anything anymore.

A freind used to always say the same to me - good advice i think and yes - if the goods are kept in dirty places the public should be told this - but I gues that will not happen
Thanks for response

People should wash canned goods and drinks before opening them to avoid any untoward incidents. It's not just the coke that people should beware of. Anything that come in contact with rat dropings can be contaminated.

i gurucoach, I hadn't heard that story, but it is really terrible. Will some people quit drinking Coke because of this, or will it soon be forgotten about? I guess the same may be true for products from other companies as well, so people will just have to be careful about cleaning the cans. It is a very sad story and shows what can happen when we don't take proper precausions. Blessings

You are correct - I know it can be very sacry - and it is a sad story - we must be on guard to ensure we clean off pacakages that we eat or drink straight from the packs - makes one think!
Thanks for response

another i'm glad i don't drink coke story:
there was a rumour once back then when i was 12. a guy (worker of coke factory here) fell into a huge tank of coke and when he was reported missing he was found 3 days later. they took him out of the tank but his flesh slipped from his skeleton back into the tank. the acidic property of coke actually made that to his body. so they had to fish out his body the second time
coke die hard fans in my class boycotted their fav drinks and drank pepsi instead for a few months. i always had pepsi back then so it was funny to see them restraining themselves from having the red-canned soda. hehe...
