What do you use your MyLot earnings for?

I've only been on MyLot for a couple of weeks, so my earnings so far aren't much to speak of, but I hope to build up my activity to the point where I can at least cash in $10 a month. Obviously that wouldn't make much of a dent in my living expenses etc, so I thought I'd put it towards something I'd like to buy but don't actually need.
Specifically, I've been saving up for my next gun - I hope to buy a reproduction .44 Remington 1858 New Model Army muzzle-loading revolver in a few months. I've been saving small change in empty coffee jars for this purpose, and I thought I'd use my earnings from MyLot for the same thing.
I'm curious about what other people are doing - are you putting your earnings towards something special?

Actually my husband and I were just recently discussing this. I have a couple of programs online that pay me a little every month. Of course they aren't huge payouts but a little here and a little there does add up.
Most of these pay directly to my paypal acct, which works well since we are Full Time RVers and we travel quite a bit. My plan is this. We are going to take that small amount each month and place it into our savings acct. I'm keeping a little log that tells me what I made from where each month and how much I put into savings with it each month.
We are saving for a new RV because the one we are in is too small and very old. I know that my online activity is not going to provide what I need for this but it will sure add to it and help alot. I'm anxious to see how much of what we end up spending at that time did come from my online income.

That's amazing that you are able to be on the road and make money only from your laptop (I assume laptop)... I admire that you do that and if my fiance and I were interested in traveling I would love to do that.

That sounds like a great way to live, I'm really envious that you're able to make that work! Do you just travel within the USA, or do you visit other countries too?

First off we are not just surviving off what I make online. (I wish) We are both disabled and we are using the online income to supliment our disability checks. We also workcamp. Basically that means that our family (the three of us) clean cabins for the campground we stay at in return for free rent, utils, cable, wifi, and laundry access.
We love our lives as full timers. We are getting to travel and see places that we never would have seen. We hope to get into a larger RV by next summer and then we will be able to move around a bit more.

I usually don't have set "plans" for my MyLot earnings, but I just leave it in my PayPal account until I have something on the internet that I want to buy, and then it can go straight towards it.
I usually use my earnings on something from eBay =D

Yes, I buy stuff of Ebay sometimes. Never anything very expensive. Sometimes I like to browse, and just see some of the odd items people sell.

$100 payout? That's ambitious, but at least it gives you something to look forward to. Don't bother complaining to me about petrol prices though, we pay a lot more here in Britain - and 80% of the price is tax!

That is expensive, is that because of banking laws or something? At least there are plenty of business of the internet that take PayPal, so you shouldn't have any trouble buying something nice.
PS I love Chines food!

Great, I love reading. Any particular book you've got in mind, or will you just see how you feel when you've got the money?

I do not even think about the money. If this was about my earnings I would not even mess with MyLot. I leave my earnings in my Paypal acount and use it when I buy something on Ebay, or Amazon. For the most part I use the extra cash for a new book.

Good idea, I like reading myself. I didn't think you could use PayPal on Amazon though, has that changed?

I am putting my money that I earn here back for vacation. We are planning to take the kids to the ocean this year and stay on the beach the entire time we are there so I figure that we will need all the money that we can save up. This along with other online earnings will sure help.

Sounds great, I haven't had a proper holiday for years. Anytime I start saving, something always seems to come up that I need to spend money on urgently.

Well this is my first time being paid so when I do get paid I am going to leave it in my paypal account in case of an emergency. Now that food prices are going up I'll hopefully have enough money in my paypal account to buy some food for my family in case my mother runs out of money. If not then I'll probably use some of it to buy my supplies for school next semester. I don't really buy much supplies for college all I buy are notebooks and pens.

I'll be putting mine in savings. I don't have much towards my retirement and I'm 54 already so I have to grab every cent I can honestly earn and put it away! Besides, I just bought my first house and building up my savings account is a good way to avoid unpleasant surprises like how to come up with the money for a new water heater, or whatever!
I do have to spend a little soon, though. I have a wonderful old rifle that needs some work and I want to get it functional and safe.

My Fiance and I are both on here and when we do make payout we will use it for various expenses for the home as well as things we both want to have. I am really looking forward to possibly use part of the money for a present for him, but sssshhh, he doesn't know!

I am saving mine at the moment until I can get a job otherwise I will only be getting £8 a week once I finish college for the summer. I am trying to cut back on spending.

No I have not tried job agencies. If I don't hear back in 2 weeks then I will go and join some agencies.

I would definitely do that. Make sure you phone all the agencies at least once a week, to remind them that you're still looking for work. Also keep your CV updated.

£8 a week? That's not much. I'm between jobs at the moment, so I know all about having to tighten my belt. Are you registered with a few employment agencies? A lot of them seem to be pretty good at finding work for students during the summer.

Well the earnings which i make from mylot are most likely just going to be stored up in my paypal account then later spent on ebay other online shopping website.
I buy a lot of trainers, clothes, and sports stuff therefore its helpful to gain a little extra each month to go towards funding these accessories.
Also in the long run if i am successfull in my earnings i will put the mylot payments towards an xbox 360 or something of its kind due to recently selling all consoles and accessories to fund my Dell laptop.
Anyway that is just what i do and will be doing with mine interesting to read other peoples posts aswel and just shows you how helpful mylot is to everyday life.

The last 2 months I have been putting mine towards my holiday that I am going on in 3 weeks, the holiday is paid for and so I am just using the money from here for spending money. It has come in quite handy really. I may now start just saving it up for christmas now, as that is the next big thing to come for me.

most likely i will use it for food or gas. you are right it will not make a dent but yesterday all i had was $5.00 until next week when i get paid again and i went to the dollar store. for $5.00 i got a 24 oz bottle of dishwashing liquid, two boxes of dishwasher soap, a package of 200 napkins and 3 dispensers of scotch tape. these are things i was completely out of and needed so what i am trying to say is you could also take that $10.00 and go to the dollar store and really stretch that money and make it go a long way and get 10 items and really have something to show for it.

Very true. Money's tight for me at the moment, and I'm getting very good at shopping around for bargains. I reckon things are going to get rougher all round over the next 12 months as we all get credit crunched.
