how do you have your discussion seen by more people?

hey, all the members here, I am puzzled how to make the discussion seen by more people. Not to visit, but simply to be seen.
My post will be visited by some of my friends. And I can see theirs on the home page. I also see the new discussion list to choose some and give responses. And the discussions from my interest. But most discussions are seen occasionally.
By the way, when starting a new discussion, posting it as a general discussion or from a special interest, which is better?

Good afternoon, dear renee. I think that it is better to start a new discussion from a special interest instead of posting it as a general discussion because this way, the new discussion to be posted will be enjoying more chances to be seen and read. Also the new discussion needs to be interesting to arouse responders' interest to read and respond to. This is not enough because you also need to be active to respond to responses to your own discussion to make it seen by more people and you need to have more friends here, more active friends. Also it takes time for a discussion to receive as many responses as possible. Anyway I wish you good luck with your own discussions. Have a good summer vacation, dear friend.

I think the best way here will be adding a useful tag and adding into various interest , that way more it will be seen by more people yea
