Lol i was watching a child today color a picture and i noticed the child was coloring the clouds blue, not white. I wonder why that is? Do you color the clouds blue too?

the things is children do have a different perspective than we do, if they see a little blue in a cloud which no doubt they will see a type of bluish color from reflections then they will think it is blue. I color in clouds with many different types of colors, I mix blue and gray in and add some black to make it look like a real cloud :)q

When I was a child back in the late 50's and early 60's, I would color clouds blue and purple, sometimes grey or orange depending on my mood. Children are very creative with colors! Fortunately, I had teachers that encouraged creativity but my friends in other classes were chastised for not coloring the clouds white. I've actually seen clouds with a blue tinge, they're beautiful!

Children are very creative and see things different than adults do. I have always allowed my child to color the cloud what ever he wanted to color. Just like if he wanted to put wings on a cow in a picture it just did not bother me. He knew that cows don't fly so I didn't think it was a big deal to let my child run away with his imagination and create all different kinds of neat things.

I like the fact that you give your child the freedom to do what he wants to do. It builds up his creative mind.
